PM, T=63F, clear, cool, TIME CHANGE (clock times 1 hr later than yesterday’s log)

7:53pm, male entered nest box and began prolonged bout of trilling and box calls. A couple of minutes later, female flew to the branch near the box, where she listened for a minute before flying to it. Male resumed with soft box calls while female sat outside for half a minute. Then she finally joined the male inside the nest box. Male immediately jumped into box entrance and flew NE to E’s back yard. We guessed he was making a quick run for a food gift but Madam did not wait for his return. After fluffing the shavings in the bottom of the box, she departed at 8:00pm, and also flew NE of the shop.
